Week #28.2
Get Discovered — A Strategic LinkedIn Byline will Drive Response
You only have 120 characters to capture the attention of someone that is clicking through search results on LinkedIn. Make sure that they pause and read further when they get to your name. Follow a few simple steps to help you get discovered:
- and define your audience. Use this information to develop strategic keywords.
- Choose keywords that clarify your position or function if your function is a more likely search term.
- Also, define your industry and area of expertise. What is the most important benefit you can deliver?
- Creativity counts. Use a memorable or unusual word combination that will differentiate you from other LinkedIn users.
Make the extra effort to refine your byline and revise/refresh it occasionally to ensure that you continue to show up in fresh searches.
